How Many Surgeries Required Readmission?
Of all 477 surgeries in 2015, 2 cases (0.4%) had to be readmitted to the hospital for management. 1 was for a failed shoulder instability surgery (the shoulder was still unstable) and 1 was for a failed fixation of a fracture. Both cases were re-operated on and resolved fully. Itemized details by case are found in the “Complications by Type” section.
Ongoing Complications
Of the original 12 complications, how many have been completely resolved? 3 complications are still ongoing, they are related to nerve problems. All cases continue to be monitored, and each patient is improving. Additional details can be found in “Complication Details by Type” section.
