Boston Shoulder Institute: Integrity in Outcomes Reporting

Boston Shoulder Institute (BSI) strives to achieve complete transparency, so that patients are informed and more able to make an informed decision regarding their care. In order to achieve this goal we systematically analyze all our patient outcomes, critically evaluate all complications, and formulate strategies to improve care. This process occurs as a team with our research assistants collecting all data through our prospective measurement program, S.O.S. (Surgical Outcome Study). We evaluate all quality measures quarterly, and annually report on our results in the Quality Measures section of our website, www.bosshin.com . In addition, we systematically evaluate cohorts of patients in order to determine how we are performing with surgical treatment of specific conditions. This information is also posted to our Quality Measures section.
